SVRN Store — a new retail location in Chicago — has recently opened its doors to the public, showcasing an eclectic mix of brands covering everything from Rick Owens DRKSHDW and Gucci to APC and Dickies.
Inside, SVRN enlisted the help architecture firm DXU who created a space which reflects the outpost’s Fulton Market District surroundings. The store is industrial in style and features exposed ducting and electrical wiring and an interior lined with concrete.
SVRN also incorporated elements of Japanese interior design thanks to the help of Bednark Studio — who has worked with the likes of Nike and Google. Fusing Japanese minimalism with the local area’s industrial theme, SVRN Store includes ancient Kintsugi-inspired broken mirrors that replicate the gold lacquered designs of Japanese pottery.
The store’s name is an acronym for “sovereign” and prides itself for being “an acknowledged leader and superlative in quality.” Take a look inside SVRN Store’s physical outpost in the gallery above and check out its wide range of labels online.
In case you missed it, Sneakernstuff is continuing its expansion with a new Tokyo flagship.
