Palmistry Drops Aqua-Filled Visual for SOPHIE-Produced Single “Water”

html,body{height:100%}Gearing up to release his upcoming album Afterlife, English artist Palmistry, real name Benjy Keating, has released an aqua-filled visual for his SOPHIE-produced single “Water.” Keating has become a tantalizing player within the current sonic landscape, with his 2016 single “Lifted” being transformed into Cashmere Cat, Tory Lanez, and Major Lazer’s hit “Miss You.” Now the artist has returned with his off-kilter dancehall ethos after a nearly three-year hiatus, with the new cut reigning in a minimalistic aura that relishes in emotionally-driven Avant pop. Produced by none other than left-of-center frontrunner SOPHIE, the new cut promotes pop-rap sensibilities alongside hints of tropical house. The instrumental carries through with various synth and snare additives, adding in hits of white noise that help in translating the tantalizing atmosphere.
The visual, directed by Marcus Söderlund, was filmed at various waterfalls across Iceland’s immensely breathtaking landscape, and has been edited completely in reverse – no shot is shown from start to finish, but rather from finish to start. Waterfalls recede and shots zoom out from Keating, helping to solidify the Avant track through the distinctive visual.
You can watch the visual for Palmistry’s “Water” above. Afterlife will be released via Mixpak Records this May.
