Nike Adds Removable Military-Inspired Patches to the Metcon 4 XD

Nike has given its Metcon 4 XD a military-inspired patch rework for Spring/Summer 2019. The Metcon 4 is a thoroughbred running silhouette, highlighted by a minimal footdrop to maximize stability and a lightweight textured mesh construction that ensures durability and strength.
The new Nike Metcon 4 XD “Patches” plays off military gear and puts a spin on vintage army emblems such as a bee, which is shown reaching for a kettlebell. The sneaker is designed to be an all-rounder as it can perform in sports such as sprints, weight lifts, and rope climbing, which is channeled into its design language. The sole unit features an all-new dense pattern of strategically-zoned haptic prints, an advancement which provides enhanced durability throughout the mid and forefoot.
The interwoven-style midsole is inspired by barbell knurling, and blends in with the tonal colorways on offer which include tan, army green and triple black for men. Each colorway will feature different velcro patches, which you can attach to the rear half of the shoe.
No price has been announced yet, however, you can expect a release date of May 3 at and select Nike retailers.
