Netflix Confirms Fifth & Final ‘Lucifer’ Season

Netflix has officially confirmed that Lucifer will return for a fifth and final season on the streaming platform. The show is based on a DC/Vertigo character created by Neil Gaiman, Sam Kieth and Mike Dringenberg, and originally launched on Fox back in 2016. After three seasons, however, Fox cancelled the show. Netflix then followed with Lucifer season four in May of this year, with the upcoming fifth season set to conclude the show.
Announcing the news in a statement, Netflix explained that it was “thrilled that Lucifer fans around the world have embraced this series on Netflix, and we can’t wait to give them the big finish they’ve all been waiting for.” There’s no official date for when Lucifer season five will arrive on the streaming service, but keep an eye out for more information over the coming months.
