‘Game of Thrones’ Drops 35-Minute Behind-The-Scenes Video for “The Bells”

html,body{height:100%}HBO has been sharing a plethora of behind-the-scenes videos and “Inside the Episode” clips to coincide with Game of Thrones’ eighth and final season.
This time around the network has dropped a lengthy 35-minute visual which showcases all the blood, sweat and tears that went into making Sunday night’s penultimate episode, “The Bells.” Even though the episode is currently the worst-reviewed in the show’s history, you can’t deny the special effects and impressive filming that took place, albeit the lacking storyline.
Warning: Mild spoilers ahead.
The majority of the episode was filmed in King’s Landing, a fictional city which in the past was shot in the Croatian town of Dubrovnik. Considering the place is then burned to the ground by Daenerys Targaryen and her dragon Drogon, the crew had to build a set in Belfast where the show’s sound stages are located. “There’s no such thing as a set you can just walk onto and shoot when you’re planning on destroying it,” director Miguel Sapochnik explains in the video above. “There was so much thought that went into every single section, because it had so many requirements.”

In related news, a two-hour Game of Thrones: The Last Watch documentary will air following the series finale. The final episode airs Sunday, May 19 on HBO.Read more at HYPEBEAST
