Cubism & Bauhaus Inspire maharishi’s “Shattered Visions” Capsule

maharishi draws inspiration from the Cubist, Bauhaus and Surrealist art movements for its latest Spring/Summer 2019 capsule collection, titled “Shattered Visions.”
“Shattered Visions” references artists such as Kurt Schwitters and William Blake as well as the photographer William Klein through its designs. The graphics highlight deconstructed artworks inspired by the Cubist era in the early 1900s developed from military camouflage — a theme which also heavily inspires many of maharishi’s designs.
The SS19 capsule collection is comprised of a coach jacket made from nylon twill, which is typically used on MA1 flight jackets, as well as organic cotton T-shirts and hooded sweatshirts. Pieces feature graphics on the front and back, seeing shattered and split maharishi typography and a sliced head-shaped graphic filled with glaring eyes adorn each garment.  The collection is exclusive to maharishi New York, London and its website at 11 AM on May 17.
