After requesting for a trade back in January, Anthony Davis is suiting up for the Los Angeles Lakers.
According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Lakers and New Orleans Pelicans have reached a deal for the PF. The West Coast team will be taking Davis in exchange for Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, Josh Hart and three first-round picks from the upcoming NBA Draft.
Fellow Laker LeBron James excitingly welcomed Davis to the team, announcing the news on Instagram. “AD on da way!! Let’s get it bro! Just the beginning..#LakeShow” he wrote.
With this deal, the Pelicans will obtain two of the top four in this year’s draft — the Lakers’ No. 4 pick and presumed No. 1 Zion Williamson.
In related news, Zion Williamson is suing his marketing firm for a contract release.
