Aaron Aye Announces ‘F.E.A.R.’ LP & Shares “What’s Love?” Music Video

html,body{height:100%}Los Angeles-based and Minneapolis-bred artist Aaron Aye has announced that his upcoming LP, F.E.A.R., will be arriving early this summer. The albums name is an acronym for “False Evidence Appearing Real,” which as a recent press release states is representative of “overcoming anxiety, depression, and mental illness to ultimately find authenticity within.” Aye continues with his exploration of relatively introspective ideas, articulately conveying them through infectious tracks that offer up an amalgamation of R&B, hip-hop, and pop sensibilities. To commemorate the album’s announcement, Aye has shared a new song entitled “What’s Love?” and an accompanying music video.
The new track carries through with Aye’s unique sound – he raps and sings in meticulous fashion, offering up well-written lyrics that speak on looking “for love, happiness, and a sense of self-compassion.” Shot with analog film in a cinematographic style, the new Noah Kentis-directed music video further highlights Aye’s idiosyncratic presence, further articulating the artist’s ideas surrounding this idea of self-compassion and instant gratification.
You can check out the video for “What’s Love?” above. Aaron Raye’s new LP will release on June 14 via The Orchard.
In case you missed it, Sheck Wes recently dropped a new track.
